potty training.... tired of listening to me talk about it yet? cause i sure as heck am tired of talking about it. (but for the sake of a record........)
we started potty training Aug. 12. seven and a half weeks ago. we did that 3 day potty training boot camp. staying at home for three days straight running to the potty every 30 minutes. YUCK! those were dark, long days. but parker caught on FAST. ya we had our accidents those three days, but after that, we we were accident free for WEEKS, actually a whole month of no potty accidents.
until the last week and a half. we have had an accident EVERYDAY for the last week and a half. WHAAAT?!?!?! everyone told me this might happen AFTER the baby is born, but after a month of nothing, why all of a sudden is he pooping and peeing his pants like its nobody's business? your guess is as a good as mine, but ive about had it. im ready to throw him back into diapers. but i also know, i do not want to redo this whole process again in a few months.
oh potty training...... okay, enough im done.
minus the potty training thing, parker is doing great. its mind blowing to me that he will be three soon. THREE! although he isnt talking as well as some three year olds i know, he is talking a lot more than he was. still a lot of it is stuff only i can interpret, but thats okay. he doesnt know any pronouns yet, so he still talks in third person. i love it. its too cute.
he has a favorite color, green. he knows and can sing all the words to i am a child of god, i love to see the temple, ABC's, and twinkle twinkle little star. he sings ALL.DAY.LONG. sometimes its these songs, other times its just mumble jumble. he is total and complete boy. loving everything from cars, trucks, trains, wheels, motorcycles, and fire fighters.
currently he is LOVING all things halloween. we've been talking A LOT about halloween for the last few weeks. pumpkins, skeletons, ghosts, bats, and witches. and he loves to see all the halloween things at the stores. of course we are dressing up together again this year..... (jared is a good sport) nothing super fancy, but it will still be cute.... i hope. its a cute idea in my head anyways.
okay, enough chit chat, here are some pictures from the last month.
he insisted on giving cookie monster a "bath" one day.
this little red hat he got the night he was born at the hospital. he found it the other day when i was pulling some baby things out and wears it all the time. both inside the house and out and about in public.
he really loves to brush his teeth. until its mom's turn to do it. i need to get him into the dentist soon.....
little stink has learned how to pull the chair over to the pantry to get snacks.
he loves to play with his cars on the dishwasher.
coloring is a favorite activity. especially when mom draws pumpkins and skeletons for him.
this magnetic pumpkin from grandma is a huge hit.
we went to our first birthday party! my cousin here in boise has twin boys that just turned three. it was a cute pirate themed party. it was cute.
my sweet tooth this last month has been a bit ridiculous. we've been making cookies like they are going out of style. parker loves to help.
oh this little dude of mine. he drives me nuts, but at the end of the day as we are going to bed, i cant help but tell jared about all the good, fun things that happened. though sometimes the days can be long and monotonous, i really do love spending my days with him. life through a three year olds eyes is never dull.
