since we have been back from idaho falls, we have found ourselves playing outside A LOT thanks to this little toy we purchased.....
paker is at the best age for a trampoline... his gross motor skills are good enough to have some good control over his body. he is learning all kinds of awesome tricks on there from jumping to his bum and back to his feet, to do crazy barrel roll type jumps. he loves it. and i love that he has some place to go use some energy. although he doesnt typically enjoy jumping by himself, so i find myself out there a lot with him and my goodness.... im tired after 2 minutes! he could go for hours before being tired.
i ran to the store one saturday afternoon and came back to find these boys jumping with the sprinkler on.
yup, i think its safe to say its a hit. probably not the smartest purchase since we are just renting but eh, live and learn right?
the other saturday, we decided to do a hike in boise called table rock. once you get to the top you can see all of boise.... the hike wasnt too bad, and parker did great walking most of it. he asked to be carried a handful of times... usually when it got really steep, lucky me :)

little miss brooklynn was a trooper. she did great on the way up, but cried the whole way down.
phew! we made it! it took us just over an hour and a half to get to the top. we could only go as fast as parker :) it only took us about 30 minutes to come back down. it was a fun little family outing. but holy freak i was SO sore the next day.
brooklynn turned 7 months. can you believe that? i sure cant. this little squishy cutie has no desire to move at all. and im in no rush for her to. i love that i can place her in the middle of the room with some toys, and i can come back 5 minutes later and she will still be there. she loves bath time and she hates hates hates being on her tummy. she also enjoys spitting out her baby food. drives.me.CRAZY!!!!
though we are loving being in a house and loving our backyard, we sure are missing our pool from our apartment complex now that the weather is warming up.
so we picked up a little kiddie pool....
parker has had fun with it, but its just not the same. even though brooklynn loves bath time, she is so not a fan of the cold hose water. so maybe its okay we dont have access to a pool cause i dont think we would go very often with how much she hated this little kiddie one.
we are enjoying these long summer days, and trust me when i say some are LOOOONG, but i still love spending my days with these two.
