since i know most of you are dying to know how our potty training adventures are going, let me tell you, they are still very much alive and well....ish.
our second week brought ZERO accidents, (HOLLERR!) our third week was relatively smooth, i really cant remember him having accidents, but he has started to put up quite the fight when i tell him he needs to go potty. its a little bit ridiculous. good grief dude, it will take you 3 seconds to go, and then you can go back and play i promise!
we are still working on getting him to tell me when he needs to go.
the last two days have brought a LOT of accidents. today alone he had THREE (all by 1:00pm) talk about frustrating. i keep reminding myself he is still just learning, and accidents will probably happen for the next few months.
but we have been very successful at getting back to our lives, and taking him out and about. so far he has stayed dry! (minus his accident at church today, but in his defense, he did tell us he had to go towards the end of sacrament, we just didnt get him to the potty fast enough, darn it.)
i was a little nervous about putting him on the big public toilets, but jared put him on one one day when we were out, and we havent had a problem with them since! we always tell him when we go out if he has to go potty to tell us and we will take him on the BIG potty. he actually gets kind of excited to go on the BIG potty.
he isnt perfect yet, but we are getting there. fingers crossed by november he will be a pro and not regress like EVERYONE keeps telling me he will do because of the arrival of baby sis.
just a few random pictures from the last week.
he's figured out he can move the chairs over to this tall counter to get things down. little stink.
we found this cat in the hat hat i made for his first halloween. he insisted on wearing it to bed that night.
and he has re-discovered his thomas trains. he's been playing with this for the last few weeks ALL day.
he is such a cheesier. i used to take so many more pictures of him when he was smaller. now i hardly ever take any, and im starting to kick myself for not snapping the everyday moments. our camera works, but it is getting old. we are wanting to get a new one before baby sis comes. any suggestions?
speaking of baby sis....
here we are at 30 weeks.
HELLO!!!!! that means we only have 10 left. if that isnt crazy i really dont know what is.
its been so long since parkers pregnancy, but im pretty sure baby sis moves WAY more than he ever did. i told jared i think we are going to have a little fire cracker on our hands. she moves all the time. its been fun, but she has now started to kick my ribs. nothing too awful yet, but i know its coming.
also my braxton hicks contractions have started way sooner than they did with parker. i get them all the time.
the good news is that i passed my glucose test the first time with this one! i wish i would have had the orange flavor with parker. it was much better than the lemon-lime or fruit punch.
ive been busy making hair bows for her. i told jared, im not sure she has enough!
its been fun getting things ready for her. her clothes have completely taken over parker's closet. and they are so stinkin cute. all the pink and ruffles and frills. i love it. im getting a little anxious to meet her, but so far im still in that comfortable stage, so for now, she can stay inside as long as she wants. she is SO much easier to take care of that way.
