Surpirse visits

Last week one of my friends from texas called and said she was driving up to rexburg this weekend and that we should get together. (she lives in provo now) so yesterday she showed up to my apartment and i thought it was only her but she brought along a vistor, one of my best friends from high school, eelan! we got together with 2 other girls from san antonio that live here in rexburg. it was fun to see everyone again and catch up on each others lives.

(dont mind my red eyes... or my hair, its really dry here in idaho and thats what happens to it)

we bought the wii a few weeks ago and jared has been playing a lot. i think bowling is the most fun so we have been doing that a lot. well last night we went bowling with some friends from the ward and i guess practice on the wii has helped! jared bowled the best game of his life at 148! right when we were walking out the door jared handed the camera to me and i said i didnt want to take it... i should have though so we could have taken a picture of the score board to always remember it! after bowling we went over to the church and played some pretty intense games of spoons and catch phrase. it was a fun night and we are so grateful for the friendships we have made.

Only 21 days left till we go to disneyland :)

disneyland?

our one year anniversary is next month! i cant even believe we have been married for that long already! i really want to do something fun for it right before school starts so yesterday i looked up hotels and ticket prices for DISNEYLAND! i texted jared about it while he was at work and i guess he started thinking if we are going to spend money and do something why not go to HAWAII?! ive been to both multiple times and jared has never been to either. we both know we should probably jsut save our money because that would be the smart thing, but it would be fun to go do something cool especially since jared hasnt been to either place.

spring came last week. it was in the high 30's so i started walking with my friend candice every morning. it was nice to get out into the fresh air and socialize but the nice weather didnt last long so we havent been able to walk the last couple of days. the weather said its supposed to warm back up the end of this week and we should be in the 40's YAY!

so ready....

for it to be SUMMER! im ready to put my coat and sweaters away and bring out shorts, flip flops and swimming suits. i keep thinking that because its going to be march next week all the snow should be gone and the temperture should be back in the 40's and 50's (maybe even the 60's?) i love summer in rexburg and im anxious for it to return again! but until then i guess i will have to live summer through pictures.... our first summer together 2007

fun in the snow

happy late valentines day! on monday jared came home from work and wanted to go sledding. a guy at work had told him to go to this place in ashton, about 45 minutes from our house. so for FHE we drove up but by the time we got there it was already getting dark so we only got about 45 min of fun. i told jared we should come back on saturday during the day, so for valentines day we drove back up and spent about 2 hours playing in the snow! jared had his snowboard and i had a sled. jared tried to teach me how to snowboard using his board. i kept falling, and falling and falling! i finally made it down one time without falling. his board was WAY to big for me, but i still had fun!
this is jared on monday night... see our little car way down there?!? it was a BIG hill! it used to be a ski resort, but it doesnt get enough snow anymore i guess...

we had a good time playing in the snow! we ended the day by going out to eat at a chinese place here in rexburg and then watched a chick flick :) it was a very good valentines day! its crazy to think a year ago today jared proposed! time flies when you're havin fun!
